Odumodublvck (born Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu on October 19, 1993, in Lagos, Nigeria) is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is known for his unique blend of genres, including Hip-hop, Drill, Grime, and Afrobeats, which he has sometimes referred to as “Okporoko Rhythms.” Born in Lagos, he later relocated with his family to Abuja at the age of seven and currently resides there. He is a member and leader of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars and the Blvck Sheep Music collective. Odumodublvck is also recognized for his distinctive stage presence, often wearing the traditional Igbo warrior hat, the Okpu Agu. He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, where he obtained a B.Sc in Mass Communications, and also attended Bowen University.
The rapper gained significant mainstream attention in late 2022 after signing a record deal with Native Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings. His breakthrough single, “Picanto,” was released in November 2022, followed by the massive hit “Declan Rice” in March 2023. The latter track achieved significant commercial success, climbing to number 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 100 chart. His rise culminated in winning the Next Rated Artist category at the Galaxy Music Awards in 2022 and the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for Best Newcomer in 2023. He continues to be a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene, known for his energetic flow and thoughtful lyricism.
